If you play Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Nintendo Switch, you’ve probably noticed that there are regular free updates here. These updates are events and innovations added to the game. This time we’re teaming up with our islanders to celebrate.

Can’t do it for real, then play it online

Like many other events and celebrations, Carnival will not be celebrated this year, but they won’t let that stop them at Animal Crossing: New Horizons. And lucky for you, because this way you can still have a little fun yourself. If only on your island with your residents.

When to use this new update?

The new update will be released on January 28, 2021

What will be added to the game?

Carnival event

Turn your island upside down with a colorful Carnival event full of dancing islanders and flying feathers. On Feb. 15, dancer Pavé arrives in the square to spread confetti and the spirit of carnival. On this day only, players can use their nets to catch the colorful feathers floating over the island and turn them in at Pavé to get a passionate dance number. In particular, rainbow feathers seem to be quite rare, so be sure to catch them and turn them in at Pavé.

Players can also invite friends to their island or visit other islands to join the festivities together.

New Comments

To express the festive spirit, players can temporarily purchase a set of emotions for carnival at the counter of Nooks Corner, including the emotions Swinging Hips Pass, Swinging Hips Pass, Pavé Pass and Confetti, for a fee of kings.

New costumes

Starting February 1, Carnival costumes are temporarily available in the Able sisters’ store, so players can continue partying in style.

Seasonal Objects

New seasonal items will be available in Nooks Corner. Players can preview Valentine’s Day with chocolate hearts and heart-shaped bouquets, on sale from Feb. 1 to Feb. 14. During certain periods in January and February, items related to Lunar New Year and Americanfootball Festival will also become available.

Additionally, from March 26, an Animal Crossing Sanrio Collaboration Pack is on sale at some European stores and online. The Animal Crossing Sanrio Collaboration Pack includes all six amiibo cards from this unique Sanrio Collaboration series. These cheerfully decorated amiibo cards can be used in compatible games.
