Weekend tips week 52

Weekend tips of week 52

Are you already enjoying Christmas?? Today is Christmas Day and everyone is probably busy with good food, drinks, friends and family. Boxing Day too and then you often have a bit of a gap between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. To fill that gap, today I am sharing the weekend tips from week 52.

With these fun outings you’ll probably make it to old age & NEW.

Weekend tips from week 52

Disney On Ice

Every year Disney On Ice descends on the Netherlands. Last year I went with the little guy for the first time. What a treat! This year the theme is Silver Anniversary. Disney characters take you through 25 years of Disney.

From the Little Mermaid to Frozen and from Peter Pan to the Lion King. Of course Mickey and Minnie also show their skills on skates. From Christmas onwards you can still go to 8 shows of Disney On Ice in the RAI in Amsterdam.

There are still several tickets available. Check the website to see which seats are available.

Pier Kidsfest

In the weekend tips you can read a lot about the Pier in Scheveningen. There are just a lot of fun activities and events. I really must share this event with you too.

On Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 December your children can go to the Kidsfest on the Pier. The entire Pier is transformed into a children’s party. From 11.00 to 14.00 o’clock there is a free market.

Children can also help out in the kitchens of the various food kiosks on the Pier throughout the day. There are various workshops, bootcamps and even a slide race on the roller coaster. For all activities and to sign up for the DJ-contest, go to the Pier’s website.

Magical Madurodam

Throughout the Christmas vacations you can still visit Magical Madurodam in The Hague. Until January 3 Madurodam is in winter mood with various activities. You can do a winter scavenger hunt, listen to the storyteller by the fireplace, eat stew, do face painting or make a winter craft. Of course it is still dark early and that gives the magical atmosphere in Madurodam. Look where the lights are and peek through the windows of the miniature houses.

Madurodam is open daily from 10.00 to 19.00hour. With the holidays there are different opening hours, so check the site for the latest information.
