Do your children know what their parents do at work?
Remember that image circulating on social media of a drawing a child had made at school? The child had made a drawing of what his mother does at work. The drawing was quite specific and gave an extraordinary picture of the reality.
I thought it was hilarious but do your children know what their parents do at work??
Do kids know what work their parents do?
The child in the drawing was particularly proud of the fact that his mother works at a major department store. There, according to him, she sells snow plows to people all day long. After the child took the drawing home, his mother had given the teacher an explanatory bill anyway.
Brilliant anyway?
I remember well how you used to score on the schoolyard if you could say that your daddy worked with the police or the fire department. Both are professions that are perceived as tough and leave little to the imagination. This was often called as a bluff. ‘My dad is in the police force!’ “Well, my dad can do karate!” Most likely those conscious dads’d actually had a dull office job but the idea was fun.
These days, of course, this is still a live issue. What do those dads’s and moms’s actually do all day at work? Viking did a little research to see if kids know what their parents do at work.
I think the outcome is hilarious.
Do your kids actually know what you do all day?
I asked my oldest if he had any idea what daddy does all day. His answer was nice and simple; “earning pennies by working.” Well, surely that's the gist of the whole story. He clearly didn't care how daddy does it, as long as he does it.
